Today Apple has released Mac OS X 10.10.4 found here. Currently there are no known issues under this version in regards to Hackintosh systems.

After the update you must re-patch AppleHDA. The download link for the Audio patch can be found on the DMG that you used for Post Install. X99 users should install the Debug AppleHDA on the X99 DMG. X79 users who need the patched kext for Power Management must also reinstall the patched driver on the X79 DMG. Also at this time X79 users should install the updated SSDT on the X79 DMG which includes fixes that address issues under 10.11. Please email me a IOReg after installing and rebooting with the new SSDT. I have only applied the fixes to Asus and Gigabyte boards as I need IOReg’s from other manufactures to include these fixes.

Users who use the Nvidia Retail Drivers must boot with nv_disable=1 after applying the update and then update the Nvidia Retail Drivers using the Nvidia Control Panel.

I would also ask for users to read are last post found here about working on support for the new AMD generation of Graphic Cards.

Please report any issues that you may have and we will see what we can do to address them.

  2. I get random reboots and usb devices (keyboard) cutting out for a few seconds and coming back on after updating to 10.10.4. Still trying to figure out what’s going on. Any clues?

    • I would need more information. What you told me does not tell me anything of what actually is happening. What you told me is equivalent to going to your doctor and saying something hurts. 🙂 So I need the following answered.

      1. What model Keyboard?
      2. Are you sure it is not lag. There is a difference.
      3. What are you doing when this happens.

After I have changed DSDT and tried install web driver – everything was dead, when I bring back old DSDTs and config – no result. Black screen, the system has died, I think.

  4. Hi Andrew,

I updated from 10.10.2 to 10.10.4 using the AppStore update path. Aside from updating the Nvidia driver, everything seemed to go smoothly. Or so I thought.

My network adapter disconnects every 5 minutes or so. I repatched the Kexts from the Haswell.dmg file, but it still seems to be a problem.

    Any ideas?

  5. hello,
after more than 2 years running OSX 10.8.5 on an Asus R4E board with great success, I had to update to latest Yosemite 10.10.4 because of compatibly reasons. Everthing seems to be great, except USB3 storage (USB2 storage also strange).
While all other USB services like keyboard/mouse/connections2hardware are working great, at the moment I plug an USBstorage the system is getting extremely slow or is hanging at all.
does it work on others installations and I have some driver misconfiguration? I already found outdated CalDigit drivers the migration assistant added, but removing them did not solve the problem.
Any ideas appreciated. Thank you, Kurt

  6. 10.10.5 no issues, Install Audio from DMG again.
Trim by terminal works after update.
