We are working on updates on several of are guides. Today we added updated Mac OS X 10.10 and 10.11 Nvidia Driver links.

A major update to the Install Guide is being worked on. We hope to have this completed by Sunday.

  1. Any chance that would include skylake systems, particularly the z170x-ud5?

  2. That’s terrific! I love the assistance you are offering with our hackintosh machines. While not totally clueless, I’ve found there is still a gap between what I know and what is expected I know to be able to fully use the guide as it was. I hope the changes you are adding helps bridge that gap, because I’ve been hesitating to update my OSX version for fear I’ll break something in the process and render my work machine unusable!

    • If you want to help us with dumbing down the technical side we would gladly take your help! Just email us and we can set up something. It’s hard for us to not be so technical sometimes as I am a Engineer.

      • Thanks Andrew – I really appreciate that. I actually did email in a couple times to set something over the last month or so but but hadn’t heard back. I figured you might be in Mexico or super busy , so no worries. I know you have a lot of other responsibilities. Would love to get something set up – so I can upgrade to a new SSD with an updated OSX. Do you want to email me or should I try emailing again? Let me know. Thanks for all you do! You guys are the best

  3. Excellent News. I havn’t touched a mac ever but decided to start with a hackintosh 10.11 last week prob not the smartest idea as a lot of incompatibility yet but i didnt know better. I am currently struggling to inject onboard hd4600 into my z97 pro wifi ac board v1.01 (usb 3.0/not usb 3.1) on a 10.11. The latest clover all set up and booting straight off the only drive and efi partition- m.2 ssd efi (had to put a nvme exprees kext in usb efi installer). Hopefully once i figure this out i can move onto wifi and bluetooth. (and also easily inject hd4000 into my older asus p8z77 v-lx). I think I have been following stuff for older mac versions, and failing at the final setup parts. Highly impressed with your work :)

    • You don’t need to do any injection. Just use the files on the has well DMG to enable onboard gratics. Just have the memory set properly in the BIOS. Wifi is in the ssdt and onboard BT is worthless under Mac so get a dongle and save your time.

      • Had a whole day to do this and my internet has been down :( was going to strictly follow your guide from start to finish, (internet broke half way. (hardware failure/replacement) I’ll be back with info…I did have a couple of questions. Re the command to install onto the usb.. after download..how does it confirm that installation of el cap on to usb is complete? Also the z97 pro wifi command I wasn’t sure which one to run for el cap. Anyway no rush, internet not back on till tomorrow. Many thanks again

  4. Id be willing to donate to get a skylake system going. What were you looking to set up?

    • We would most likely do a ITX or MATX system with a I5. Would like to have one with USB 3.1 if we could find a board at the right price point. And a M.2 SSD to get some good data on them for Mac.

Once I would have the board I could start work on USB 2.0 fix and progress from there. Once that was resolved we would release a Skylake DMG shortly after applying the same assumptions we did for the Haswell DMG since most manufactures are following intels guide lines the SSDT patches and addressing would be easy to assume.

    • ASUS Z170I PRO GAMING Would seem to fit the bill for example.

  6. Hi Andrew,
I was feeling an instability in my system and I tried to find out the reason, I ended up running into me with a situation. I deleted the kext “VoodooTSCSync” and it seems that now the system flows better.
I do not know if it’s just an impression or actually did improve the fluidity.
This kext is necessary for the system or can I use without it?
