Tried all methods – toledo, multibeast, audio_cloverALC-120_v1.0b, AppleALC.kext, Apple HDA Patcher.app…

    Anyone have any luck?

  7. Hey Guys,

The Sierra Installer keeps hanging on a circle with a strike-through when I try to boot to it. I’m attempting to update from Mavericks on a GA-X79-UP4 with a 3930k and GTX770.

I’ve tried booting with: -v cpus=1 npci=0x2000 but it doesn’t seem to help. It gets stuck on a “USB Host Controller” attempt.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks!

  10. Hi Andrew. Amazing work! Followed instructions for z97x-ud5h. When I use supplied config.plist in dmg, PC will not shut down (restarts). When I boot from install USB, and then launch macOS, PC shuts down (perfectly!). Tried copying config from usb efi to ssd efi, but macOS won’t load. Any ideas how to fix? Everything else works great!

  13. Hello. I am having some trouble with bootup. Most attempts don’t actually boot properly, but I’d say after 3-4 attempts It will fully boot. I have no idea what the problem may be? I did an upgrade from 10.11 and did the normal post install procedure with the latest dmg.

Any clue what I’m doing wrong or what I am missing?

  14. Hi Andrew,

Like John, I am having sporadic boot issues. Since Sierra, I have to spacebar and click “Boot with selected options” Then it either boots perfectly, or a immediately get the void symbol. A power cycle or two and she boots. Had this last year. Think it’s a timing issue.
    Thanks for any insights,
    Herb

Everything works on my GA-X79-UP4 (except for the usb 3.0).
    For the Nvidia graphics cards:
After the update, boot with nv_disable=1 and re-run the AGDPfix for full screen resolution.

  16. Hey Federico,
Thanks for your response. My comment was specifically in reference to upgrading from 10.11.6 to 10.12.1.
I managed to upgrade once I put the kext files in the 10.12 folder on my EFI partition.
After that I was having trouble getting my graphics to work even with the boot flag: nvda_drv=1 so I used clover configurator to edit my plist and inject Nvidia graphics.

For my Nvidia Geforce 650Ti i ran the AGDPfix to fix the screen resolution

  17. Hi

I have a few problems after the install and post install.
So, I installed the OS Sierra on my hack. I followed your guide, I didn’t use any bootflag. I thought that on some part the booting will stop, becouse this clolourful “lollipop” icon appeared, but then I just wait and go through this.
I think that after the first instal, I boot again in the usb (as it is written in the guide), but the automatic install doesn’t started, then I booted in installed SSD, then started the automatic install. It is possible, or I just mistook the 2 things?
In post installation I put my config.plist, which was in the Yosemite, it’s a little modified with your suggestion, I think the only change is some false/true option, becouse I have 1333 MHz instead of 1600 MHz.

    Now the problem is:
    1. In the Intel gadget the frequency is almsot everytime on the maximum.
    2. It’s a very starnge problem. The whole OS is just slower, for example, when I make a screenshot, the screenshot sound is coming later than it should be, by empty the trash also delayed the sound, or just put something in the trash, that sound delayed also, basicly is slower than should be. The funny thing is, that when I play music in the iTunes, then this delaying is disappear, only just when I play music, when I pause it, then the OS is again slower.
    3. Random chrashes, after a 4-5 hours chrash.

My previous OS is yosemite 10.10.5, absolutly without any problem.
Can you help me? What should I do to get rid of these problems?
