About:

Thank you everyone for your testing and feedback in regards to our 1151 DMG, new DMG Read Me and Installation Guide. We want to prefect everything that we do so please continue to provide feedback and recommendations. And always remember this is not our job, we do this for fun and to help others in there quest to make Hackintosh!

That said we are now working on updating the Graphic Guides. Our plans are to use embedded PDFs for all of the guides to allow users to download and use as need if the system being worked on may not have a working internet connection right away. Additionally this will also make editing easier for us. Less time editing and more time developing solutions.

Today we closed final testing of the 1151 DMG and have switched the SMBIOS from iMac 14,2 to iMac 17,1. Please install the latest clover config list to enable the switch. We are also looking to create SSDT-1 for 1151 CPUs so please contact us for more information.

If there is anything that you would like to ask feel free to post it here. Please comment on what guides need clarification or guides that you wish to see.

Today is my birthday so have a beer for me (if of age). Enjoy!

Is there a guide you or someone could recommend for enabling airplay to an AppleTV with a 4979K i7 and a GA-Z97X-UD7 TH motherboard?

From what I have read I need to enable Integrated Graphics along side my GTX970.

    • Yes, need onboard with the GPU. The SSDT on the DMG does that. I had the same board back in the day.

      And thanks!

      • Are you saying that onboard graphics should already be enabled with the standard SSDT file on the DMG?
What do I need to do to get this working? Could you recommend a tutorial?

        • In regards to the 1151 DMG? Yes, we have 5 different SSDT’s on the DMG at this time.

          1. For AMD and Intel
          2. For AMD and Intel Disabled (Like a iMac using iMac Framebuffer)
          3. For Nvidia and Intel
          4. For Nvidia and Intel Disabled (Like a iMac using iMac Framebuffer)
          5. Intel Only

Use the Install Guide on the Install DMG and use the DMG Read me on the 1151 DMG. All the docs you need.

  3. Hello Andrew, just found out about your blog. First of all I want to thank you for all your effort to bring macOS to the masses and also wish you a happy birthday.

    I’m currently trying to install Sierra on my x79 build. I have a ASRock X79 Exteme6 with a 3960x.

Your DMG did all the work, except Power Management. I did try your 3930k and 3970x SSDT but I didn’t work. I also generate my own SSDT using ssdtPRGen script but it doesn’t work either. My processor shows as an unknown 3.3GHz CPU.

I have also looked for clover patches to make it work, but the solution I found only works on El Capitan.
    Was a patch + make the Sandy Bridge-E be recognized as a Ivy Bridge-E running ssdtPRGen using -c 1 -w 3 switches.

    Am I missing something?

Hope you can help me. Thanks.

  5. Goodday

Would a X9SRI-F (SuperMicro) be “easy” to run MacOSX 10.11/10.12 on?

Any pointers in making it work?

    • Yes. Just use the x79 files for install. I’ll have to make a ssdt for it for post install to make lan work. Once installed see.d me a clover acpi dump and a IOReg. The I can make on and add it to the x79 DMG.
