Next week we will be releasing a road map for future updates to the DMG’s, Guides and General Documentation for the site. This will include Mac OS X 10.11 testing for those who wish to test the latest OS from Apple. We are hoping to be up to date by the time Mac OS X 10.11 is released.

  1. Not sure if this is the right place: I would love for the damages to have some kind of version numbers. This way it would be easier to check whether one is on the current version or should try an update.
    Thanks for doing great work!

      • I guess his autocorrect tried to change dmgs to damages 😉

Anycase, yes, it is something I also would like to see, some versioning of the .DMG images, but I suspect that might not be easy with the dropbox method you use to make the images available.

      • Sorry, DMGs. Pages/Guides would also be nice, but I think having version numbers on the DMGs would be more important, since this is the heart of the whole operation.

  2. Yes, a date under each title could be interesting for people like me who check de site every week. For example:

    AMD GUIDE
    August 2015

  3. Any chance of finding a clover patch, or otherwise, to avoid needing to manually patch or rollback AppleGraphicsDevicePolicy each update? I would rather not use MacPro3,1.

Straight-forward patches of the info.plist do not work as the hardcopy still appears to be read.

  5. I would like to know how to utilize Clover to auto-boot a specific volume of MacOS X. I have two Fusion drives that are currently bootable when selected by the Clover startup menus.

  6. Hello Andrew. I successfully installed OSX 10.11 on Asus Z97-Deluxe with your DMG package. No issues encountered. The Asus X79-Deluxe is another animal. I am getting a IOUSB Kernel Panic when I boot to the USB installer. Tried several things such as disabling USB3 in Bios. Maybe the next step would be to disable USB ports in the BIOS until I find the right one which will allow me to complete the USB boot into the installer. There is a insanely thread going on about the USB panic and fix. There are some recommended DSDT/SSDT fixes to XHC and EHC, Intel only not the ASM ports. I am looking that over to see if that helps. There is mention that the GenericUsbXHCI kext needs updating for 10.11 and that does not seem to be done yet. There is also the option of FakePCIID_XHCIMux from Rehab but that is for XHC to EHC1 Usb routing. Is there an SSDT update needed to get past the kernel Panic or just some updated USB kext needed? Thanks

  7. I managed to install it with multiple tries but not from USB. It would kernel panic so many times and once I was able to get past the Kernel Panic after 30 times or more trials I was flooded with messages and it would never get the the install screen. I created an El Capitan installer on my Sata partition. I still had got the kernel panic repeatidly and after several attempts 25 to 30 times I had an instance of no Kernel Panic and was able to complete the install but flooded with the USB messages during the boots and after the install. See this post for screenshots and attachments.

I am sorry if I may have broke a rule on posting a link to another site?

  10. I am still trying to figure out how to get past this Kernel Panic link for pics posted 3rd post up from here. Has anyone able to get El Capitan to install on other Asus X79 chipset boards? Maybe the issue issue it only on the X79-Deluxe. My DSDT shows a Devise(ASMX) I believe that is the Asmedia and not sure if this was ever done in a DSDT before but would like to disable that device. Disabling the USB3 in Bios does not help. I eventually get to El Capitan Desktop after about 8 to 10 tries but I am still flooded with ASMX Powerstate messages picture posted on the same link. Maybe this is what is causing the panic?
